Chess Ratings of Indian Players after the Candidates Chess tournament

As the dust settles down after another wonderful tournament (stressful for the players), it is now time to take a peek at what happened to their ratings.

Gukesh gains 20 points in the April 2024 ratings list and is now world no. 6 ahead of world champion Ding Liren, whom he will face in the World Championships finals in November-December.

Pragg stays where he is in terms of points and Vidit loses 6 points.

In the Women's section, Indian legend Koneru Humpy managed to stem the losses and sits at 2545. Vaishali's miraculous performance in the last five round helped her to climb back to 2489.
