Harikrishna is in 2700 FIDE ELO rating bracket

Harikrishna photo by Zee India On the Live Chess ratings list as of today, Harikrishna is in the 2700 ELO Chess rating list at 2704. He had a good start in the Tata Steel Chess tournament at Wijk aan Zee with a win over Anish Giri.

Almira Skripchenko is known as one of the most beautiful Woman Chess players in the World. Born in 1976, Almira is currently ranked No. 44 in the World women Chess Ranking list. Her ELO rating is 2436. Her peak rating was 2498. Almira is an International Master (Open category). Almira's biggest achievement was winning the European Women's Championship in 2001. She also reached the quarterfinals of the World Chess Championships thrice. She plays in the German League (Bundesliga) for Werder Bremen and also plays for two other French clubs. Almira first married Joel Lautier but separated a few years later. She married Laurent Fressinet later. She was already a French citizen (originally hails from Moldova). First India National Amateur Chess Championship

This tournament will be an official National Championship for players with ELO strength < 2000 and will be organized under the aegis of All India Chess Federation by State Level Chess Association, Madhya Pradesh (and Right Move). The tournament will form the basis for selection for the World Amateur Chess Championship. The tournament will be played from January 26, 2013 to January 31, 2013. Nakamura is back in the top 10 World Chess players!

Hikaru Nakamura is back into the World's elite list of players. He is rated 2769 and is placed 9th in the live chess ratings list as well as the FIDE rating list that was released on the 1st. Gata Kamsky is now rated 2740 and is at the 17th position. He was recently the No. 1 player in the US, but lost points quite heavily in the FIDE Grand Prix series tournament at Tashkent.
