Anand is the Chess World Champion 2012

Vishy Anand is the World Champion, again! He beat challenger Boris Gelfand in tie-breakers. The final score was 8.5-7.5. The tie break games were filled with excitement unlike the games with regular time controls.

Anand won game 2 of the tie breaks and held on with draws in Games 3 and 4 to win. Earlier, he faced some anxious moments in the 3rd game, where he made a couple of dubious moves. However, Gelfand was unable to capitalize due to severe time pressure and drew a winning game.
