The draws keep coming in the World Chess Championships 2012

Gelfand and Anand drew their sixth consecutive game in the World Chess Championships 2012. The match is starting to evoke criticism, but there are some defenders who are quoting the reason of shortness of the match and that hence caution is justified.

Kasparov has even gone so far as to say that Anand has lost his motivation, which led to huge protests by the Indian media. Kasparov thought that Anand missed a chance to win in the third game, when he had to look at the game from a different angle and push through. After all, the playing strength is not very obvious with this level of preparation and Anand should grab the minutest advantage. Meanwhile, Boris is holding on well and even pushing Anand to the defensive quite a few times.

Anand will need to defend another game with black when they resume after the rest day.
