Commentary on Live Chess Rating
As of today, Magnus Carlsen (2862) is well clear of Garry Kasparov's all time highest rating. The only danger for him is losing two games against weak players, which is a remote possibility with his current form. Nakamura did draw with him on 10th December, which means that Carlsen will collect a slight minus, but nothing significant.
The most interesting move on the list is by Kramnik. He is now clear of Aronian (who's lost quite a bit here) by almost 6 ELO points. World Champion Anand is now at No. 7. Mamedyarov has cemented his ranking in the top 10 at least for now.
