Magnus Carlsen new world record FIDE Chess rating to be official tomorrow

World No. 1 Chess player Magnus Carlsen's Chess rating tomorrow will be the official new record when FIDE announces the January 2013 FIDE Chess rating list.

Carlsen will overtake former record holder Kasparov's world record of 2851 by ten ELO rating points. Carlsen will be rated 2861. Kramnik will be second in the rating list with previous 2nd place holder Aronian now pushed to the third spot.

A record number of players will enter the 2700+ rating club. Currently, 51 players are rated 2700 or higher as per the live rating list Web site 2700chess.com

World Champion Anand remains at the seventh spot.
