Nakamura and Pruess finish first at the 2007 North American Open

GM Hiraku Nakamura and IM David Pruess finished first with 6 points out of the possible seven at the North American Open chess tournament 2007. Shabalov, Becerra and Kretchetov finished next with 5.5 points. Six rounds of the North American open have been completed. GM Alexander Shabalov is leading the strong field with 5.5 points. He has won all his games except one. GM Hiraku Nakamura and GM Varuzhan Akobian along with IM David Pruess. FMs Alex Kretchetov and Jake Kleiman are ranked high in a strong field.
