Also, there have been several uncertainities and controversies over whether a particular tournament will be rated or not. When the ratings are live, this question does not arise. Carlsen was asked a tricky question in a recent interview. " Do you consider yourself the World No. 2 or World No. 6. The reason was that his live chess rating was No. 2 and very close to World no. 1 status occupied by Anand. Magnus obviously feels he is more no. 2 than no. 6.
