University of Texas wins Pan American Collegiate Chess 2007
University of Texas Dallas team won the Pan American Intercollegiate Team Chess championship also known as the "World series of College chess", at Miami.
UT Dallas team won 5 rounds and drew the final round to win the gruelling tournament. Salvijus Bercys was the hero for the winning team on the last day. The coach Rade Milovanovic was proud of the achievement, which is understandable as one of the features was that Salvijus managed a victory with hardly any time left on his clock.
